To Those Who Criticize TV

If you can fined your way through the sea of commercials, gratuitous violence and sex, and banal sit-coms, you will find that there are some morally responsible, instructive, and even inspirational dramatic themes in some top-rated U.S. TV programs.

But you have to look for this programming and set your TiVo, or whatever, to record it (and maybe to speed through the commercials).

...From my international experiences I know that no country can do a better job of conveying beneficial and uplifting ideas within appealing programming.

Let's just hope that the new generation of TV people will see even more value in this "higher road."
